Somehow, a couple years ago, I stumbled upon Julie Sarinana's Instagram. I started to follow her on IG because I loved everything she wore. She always looked cute, and very 'me'. I love her style and I love seeing what outfits she pulls together. At one point, I was directed to her website and became even more obsessed. Not only do we have similar style, but I just love the design of her website -- it's exactly what mine would look like. If she hadn't already had hers! First, I love the black and white. It's clean, clear, classic, and strong. I also love the juxtaposition of 2 variations of her "logo". At the top left, within her navigation bar, she has her standard logo, all in the same, thin, serif font. In the center of her homepage, floating on the white background, she has a stacked version of her logo, with her name in a signature-esque font. I love this because it sort of makes her brand a little more personal to her. At the moment, the main image on her homepage is a colorful beach photo. She always manages to keep this picture colorful and bright -- a great complement to the black and white fixed page design. I also love the look of her page tabs next to her standard logo. They are all-caps, narrow, tall, sans-serif and bold. They aren't too aggressive but they stand out just the right amount and keep the page looking strong and straightforward, which I love. One of my favorite pages on her site is the Travel page.

I love the big black map floating on the white background. And the way the hero images look the way they are laid out on the page just looks so crisp and sharp and colorful. I just really love her visual style and think that of all the blogs and websites I have seen to date, hers is definitely the most in line with my own personal style and vision.
